Protecting you from scams

Technology-support and impersonation scams cause disproportionate harm. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from WellHandled and asks for money, gift cards or remote access you did not schedule, hang up and call our published number.

What to keep out of AI tools

The exact boundaries depend on the tool and how your account is configured — and we set those boundaries with you. As a general rule, keep these out of AI tools until we've agreed how they'll be handled:

  • Confidential client or customer records, unless the account is configured for it
  • Financial-account numbers, statements and credentials
  • Legal matters where privilege or sensitive detail is involved
  • Medical information and anything you'd consider private health data
  • Employee records and other personal information about your staff

Once an engagement begins

No sensitive files are ever accepted through the public forms on this site. After a contract is signed, we put proper handling in place:

  • A secure client portal for any documents you share
  • Clear account-ownership rules — the accounts are yours
  • A written list of who is authorized to participate
  • Multifactor authentication on the accounts we set up
  • Defined retention and deletion procedures
  • A record of which vendors process your information
  • Separate, explicit consent before any product-improvement or model-training use
